Inspiring digital art to be showcased at Corinium
Kai Murphy, a Cotswolds-based photographer and digital artist will be exhibiting some stunning images at the Corinium Museum during June.
The free exhibition, which runs from Saturday 4th to Saturday 25th June, will showcase some of Kai’s latest prints which draw inspiration from the landscape, architecture, places, people and ‘everyday things.’
Kai has been obsessed with technology from an early age when he regularly took apart various types of radio, tape players and remote control cars. He became intensely interested in cameras when he disassembled a prized family SLR and couldn’t put it back together again – a challenge presented itself!
His images have to be seen up close to be appreciated – they range from moody monochrome images to colourful abstract views. Some prints take on the look of a screen print owing to the film having been left to deteriorate.
There is something for everyone in this exhibition, and staff at the Corinium are confident that the public will derive a good deal of pleasure viewing them.
