What Is There To Do? ... Beach Volleyball!

The beach, the sun ... what else can you ask for when it comes to beach volleyball? Nothing! so come down to Boscombe Pier and enjoy hitting the ball! Almost every evening a different club is using the two permanent courts and they are always very welcoming to new players. It is great fun and you get a tan! :-)

Awwww, isn`t it lovely outside? Spring is on it`s way and the sun is shining... perfect weather to get outdoor active.
I myself like cycling, walking along the beautiful Bournemouth beach and if I really want to burn some calories, I go for a run!
If you like it more adventurous, you could try “Go Ape” in Moorsvalley, Ringwood or surfing at Boscombe Beach. “Sorted surf school” offers advanced and beginners lesson, so there is no excuse not to give it a try!

Wine, Gossip, Giggles

Despite its un-appertizing name, the 'slug' and lettuce hosts a warm atmosphere and excellent service, went there for a girl's meal out (with wine, gossip and giggles) , and what a nice evening it was, although the service was at some times slow, the food was terrific and no-one can say it was too expensive, two course meal and a glass of wine for 8 quid.....bargain! http://wittdo.com/offers

Pancake Madness

its that time of year again when you feel like a child (all be it christmas and birthdays are the same). Pancake day is upon us and i am as excited as i was a decade ago! My traditions include trying to fit in pancakes with every possible part of the day.... snacks, breakfast, 11's, lunch, dinner, and of course dessert! Instead of the usual fun and games though i will explore bournemouth and find the most unusual, delicious and downright crazy pancake! I invite everyone to join in with my search or give me some special recipes of their own!

I was walking around Bournemouth town yesterday when I came across a poster advertising the American dance theatre coming to the Pavilion, I was so excited (i am still buzzing) to finally see this dance company live. I studied dance for GCSE and A level but never got the chance to see this dance company live. The Alvin Ailey American Dance theatre tends to mix South african dances with contemporary and use some afro-american gospel songs.

Come to Boscombe Beach, Bournemouth this Friday, Saturday and Sunday to see some of Britains best Volleyball players compete in the National Student Cup!
It starts Friday 1pm and finals will be held on Sunday approx. 4pm.
Non professionals can join the games on Sunday for a 4 -a-side mixed competition!

In the Council’s first Go Green Bournemouth Survey last year, most respondents said they believe that man-made climate change is real - significantly more than nationally. In response, we are ramping up our effort to demonstrate this strength of local commitment to tackling climate change and its causes.

Sorted Surf Shop are pleased to announce that Boscombe Beach in Bournemouth will once again be host to the "Sorted Surf Festival" The weekend long event is spread over the 19th & 20th March and in conjunction with main sponsors O'Neill will host Surf, Bodyboard & Stand Up Paddleboard events as well as bringing a festival style atmosphere to the beach.

Designed for everyone to enjoy there will be stalls, giveaways, watersport displays, free demo equipment and advice from surf industry leaders. On Saturday evening there will be a party hosted by Urban Beach starting from 7.30pm
